I would like to thank-you for organising the team to sort out my installation problems. Agmet, Greg and Derrick did a superb job yesterday and I think the matter has been properly resolved.
The job unfortunately took most of the day, the reason being that the heat from the fire caused the brickwork surrounding the hearth to crack something which we had not foreseen. A lintel and additional fire blanket was installed. The team worked extremely cleanly once again, and paid great attention to detail - I must say that the final job looks superb. (I will send you a photo when it has been painted)
I think you will get a number of enquiries from our friends many of whom admired the first job - I am sure they will be even more impressed with the finer finish which we have now.
Please pass on this letter to both Mr MacDonald and the installation guys because I think they deserve to be recognised for going the extra mile.
It is not often that I recommend a service to anybody but I can promise you that I will be doing so in your case.

(who clearly don’t know their gas products and therefore are ignorant when it comes to gas fireplaces). You were here for all of 10 minutes,
problem resolved and it was something as basic as warming up the pin before letting in the gas – I’m speechless! I think it is so useful
having somebody like you in the trade that actually shows the customer how to use the product properly.

We finally took the plunge and decided to put a pool in, in October last year. For obvious reasons we got a couple of quotes from both gunite and fibre glass companies.
Paul Steenkamp was assigned to come and give us a quote. I thought Paul was incredibly thorough and upfront about certain concerns regarding the close proximity of the pool to our house. He made great suggestions and went the extra mile to have our plans approved at council.
All the teams involved from the diggers to builders to guniters to plasterers to electricians were great. They worked incredibly neatly and each day before they left they tidied up. We certainly were impressed.
Paul was a great communicator and I was always kept up to speed with the progress and sometimes the delays due to inclement weather. He went out of his way to meet our deadline (a 11th birthday celebration) and he put my mind at rest that it was all in good hands.
We had the party and a very smiley son have thoroughly enjoyed the pool since!
The workmanship throughout the project was of a very high standard and I will gladly recommend MacD to people and Paul to project manage.

I trust you have received by now, the final payment for our lovely new log-burning stove.
Can I say straight away how pleased we are with the result. That is, the design, installation and how pleased we are with the result. That is, the design, installation and quality of work. Not the mention the heat the stove puts out.
As you know, I’ve always wanted a free-standing stove within a chimney breast, fronted by a mantelpiece, but in a word we couldn’t afford it. So it was with some reservation that we went for a built-in type. Well we needn’t have worried, for although the look is different, I must admit it is as attractive as it is impressive. This was in no short measure, due to your patience and guidance in the matter and not least the skill of the team that actually carried out the work.
It’s early days yet – we have only lit it three times so far, but I can tell you it works like a dream. Lighting is simple and quick and it takes no time at all to become a roaring fire. You can feel the radiant heat meters away and the fan blows hot air out into the room as well. Another feature that came as pleasant surprise is just how attractive the fire is seen through the glass door.
My wife did not enjoy having the work involved in pulling out the old gas fire and rebuilding the chimney breast done, but now admits it has all been well worth the upset. And I know we can look forward to many warm enjoyable winters to come.

We recently had a pool put in by your company and I would like to express our thanks Paul as project manager and the various teams utilised for an excellent job.
Service is a rare commodity in South Africa today. It was accordingly very refreshing to deal with a company that still provides excellent service and a good dose of old-fashioned personal attention.
At each stage of the installation we were well informed of the process, our needs were considered and good solid advice provided. The team employed was hard-working, reliable and considerate, particularly impressive was the way in which they always left the site as clean as possible after the day's labors.
In particular, Paul Steenkamp was outstanding. He was very professional and notwithstanding the fact that he obviously deals with pool installations on a daily basis he was receptive to our queries however small and/or insignificant. His input went further than just being a job and getting it finished for the turnover. As we both have demanding careers it was inevitably not possible to meet Paul during working hours and his willingness to meet after hours was very much appreciated. There are subtle touches to the pool that have made it just that little bit more special and we thank him for this.
Finally, our pool looks great and it is without reservation that we have and will continue to recommend MacD to all our friends and acquaintances.

I am sorry that this has taken me so long to write, but I guess all my spare time is being taken up by minding the girls while the enjoy the new pool! Your guys were just the best!! Thank you for the prompt, efficient and reliable service. Our pool was built well within the quoted time frame and came in at the quoted cost. >From past experience with contractors - I know this is unusual. The pool looks amazing and has uplifted our garden in the most amazing way. The first five weeks of maintenance was somewhat labour intensive as you said it would be - but now it ticks oer and takes care of itself. We sing your praises with all our friends and I believe Saras and Sam have asked you to quote for them. If I ever need another pool - I will know where to go!!
